In 2005, when my love for Sri Krishna began to re-surface, a friend of mine took me to Tirupati, one of the biggest and oldest Vishnu temples in South India. I had the pleasure of seeing His darshan twice on the day. I had to wait in the line for about 6 hrsto get inside. And I saw the deity for about 5 seconds each time! You wouldn’t believe the crowd there. And all I could hear through out my waiting ordeal was the screaming by devotees in unison – “Govinda, Govinda, Goooovindhaaa!!”
